So, I’m finally back. And I am going to talk about this shoe, and then I am going to tell you another little something.
I bought this shoe the other day at my local target. It’s called Violet and it’s by Mossimo. This is so cute in person, and so comfortable! Looks great with jeans and dresses. And the price was only 14.98. How could I leave it there? They had they same show in shades of black and grey, but not in my size, or it would have come home with me, too.
And did you know that Mossimo pads the footbed where the ball of your foot rests? That’s enough to keep me coming back for more, right there!
Now for the thing I want to tell you. Since I started this blog, I have been trying to keep my post counts relatively even in the different categories. And some days, that has sucked the joy right out of blogging here on this blog that is supposed to be only about stuff I like. I happen to be a major grrrrrrl, and there is nothing wrong with that. So, from now on, I’ll be blogging about whatever catches my eye, post counts be damned.
Have a good day, ya’ll.
Me, too! At least we’re together, right? The Barbie-est thing I have done lately is to go on a hike. With lip gloss in my pocket. And yes, I applied it on the trail. It was Avon’s Glazewear, for those of you keeping track of such things.
Okay, just kidding. Sorry it’s been so long since I posted. I’m borrowing internet where ever I can find it, and using computers that aren’t my own as well. When I get my own computer back, I’ll be posting regularly again, but until then… not so much. Sorry.
Have you sniffed Vera Wang Bouquet? I found a sample in a magazine and I think I like it. The ad described it as “alluring, modern, romantic”, and I suppose I can agree with that, provided you think honeysuckle is alluring, roses are modern, and bergamot is romantic. It does warm up nicely on the skin. Personally, I do like the scent, but I would call it classic, not modern. And will someone please tell me why everyone thinks “modern” is a selling point? Do Coco Chanel’s designs ever go out of style? No, they do not. Classic is good, people. You can spend twice as much, because it will last ten times as long. D’uh.
The perfume is a little spendy, but then the good ones usually are. And when was the last time you actually ran out of a perfume? Yeah, see. A bottle lasts a lifetime, provided you store it properly.
Wow. Just wow. A whole store full of pink goodness. From guitars to rubber duckies, it’s all here and it’s all pink. The Pink Superstore had to have been built with me in mind. That is all.
How did I find it, you ask? I Googled pink Alvarez guitar, that’s how. They don’t have the Alvarez I was looking for, but they do have several pink guitars! And a pink violin, too.
You know, I’ve never been able to figure out how they do that iridescent color changing stuff, but these sure are interesting shoes, aren’t they? I’m not sure I like them, mind you, but they are interesting. These Via Spiga Kelly‘s only have a three inche heel, though, and that knocks them right out of the running for this shortie. I want at least four full inches in a dress shoe, more if possible.
Boy, the eyes tell the tale, don’t they? Whatever your current condition, the eyes show it first: over-tired, dehydrated, under the weather, whatever, they put it out there for all the world to know. And that effect is only exacerbated by age. Or so I’ve heard. *cough* That’s why I now use eye cream, and why I always read the ads for new eye creams, like this one from L’Oreal. Cause at 20-21, I am all about “depuffed eyes” and “diminished dark circles”. Sounds like it might be worth the $20 asking price, if you ask me.
If you are stressed out and having a hard time losing weight, try adding a bit of cheese to your diet. It’s high in b-vitamins which reduce stress. Less stress means less cortisol in your system. Cortisol makes you store fat on your belly, exactly where most of us don’t need any extra. Your mom was right after all!
Man, do I have a category for food to die for? No? Then I guess this will go under Low fat Barbie, but it is anything but that! When I saw these advertised in a magazine, I gasped. Seriously. The ad says
Chocolate
Peanut Butter
Peanuts
Pecans
Caramel
Let us know if we’ve gone too far.
Yeah, keep going, baby, I can take it! One thing gives me pause, though, I read on CandyBlog that these are made in Mexico, She suggests checking the candy you buy to make sure it’s made in America. Right now, we need to keep American’s employed. I’d go a step further and suggest that we make it a point to buy home grown goods all the time. It’s the right thing to do.
