A Bold Wall
I saw this in a book I read yesterday, and I just feel in love with it! I’d love to do a big bright wall like this. I saw a much more subdued version in a magazine once. All their plates were round, but some of them overlapped. Here’s how they did it.
~First, draw around your plates to create templates.
~Arrange them in a pleasing design. It’s great if there is some overlap, too.
~Tape the templates to the wall and draw around them in the positions the plates will occupy.
~Attach velcro to the back of the plates.
~Attach velcro to the wall for those plates that will be on the wall.
~Mount 1/2 inch thick blocks to the wall for plates that need to come up one level and 1 inch thick for those that need to come up 2 levels, and apply velcro to them.
~Hang the plates using the velcro.
