So, hi. Eighteen months and two days later, Barbie is back. I’ve still got that passel of real-haired kids, but Ken is gone, gone, gone. And I am so ok with that. It’s been so long since I’ve blogged here that I am not quite sure how to start. I’m still collecting shoes, I’m still drooling over tech gadgets and I’m still middle-aged. I’m still also most of the other stuff on that category list over there, except for the bedroom part. Not much happening in that area at all. Just sayin’
So, I’m finally back. And I am going to talk about this shoe, and then I am going to tell you another little something.
I bought this shoe the other day at my local target. It’s called Violet and it’s by Mossimo. This is so cute in person, and so comfortable! Looks great with jeans and dresses. And the price was only 14.98. How could I leave it there? They had they same show in shades of black and grey, but not in my size, or it would have come home with me, too.
And did you know that Mossimo pads the footbed where the ball of your foot rests? That’s enough to keep me coming back for more, right there!
Now for the thing I want to tell you. Since I started this blog, I have been trying to keep my post counts relatively even in the different categories. And some days, that has sucked the joy right out of blogging here on this blog that is supposed to be only about stuff I like. I happen to be a major grrrrrrl, and there is nothing wrong with that. So, from now on, I’ll be blogging about whatever catches my eye, post counts be damned.
Have a good day, ya’ll.
You know, I’ve never been able to figure out how they do that iridescent color changing stuff, but these sure are interesting shoes, aren’t they? I’m not sure I like them, mind you, but they are interesting. These Via Spiga Kelly‘s only have a three inche heel, though, and that knocks them right out of the running for this shortie. I want at least four full inches in a dress shoe, more if possible.
Hey ladies! Do you ever feel guilty for spending a little too much on shoes? No? Me either. But just in case you feel guilty about not ever feeling guilty, which I admit I sometimes do, I thought I would let you know about a real good way to buy real expensive shoes for about half price AND contribute to breast cancer research at the same time. Just tune in to QVC tomorrow night at 7pm ET for the FFANY show and shop to your heart’s content. For a great cause, of course
So, this is called a Wrap Boot. You slip the shoe part on your foot, and then you wrap the ace bandage thingie up around your leg, I guess. Now, you are going to have to be massively skilled to do that, or at least more coordinated than I am, but the concept is cool, right? And it also comes in red, which is my also-favorite-color (with pink) But here’s the really neat thing: every time you buy a pair of TOMS, they give a pair to a child in need. So, I can’t say these are necessarily the most attractive shoes ever, but their heart is in the right place. Also, maybe their prices are so high that you are actually buying two pairs of shoes, but whatever, it helps out someone who needs helping out, ok? OK. Go buy some.
No, I do not have a Christian Louboutin fetish, thank you for asking. What I do have is a shoe fetish, and that’s different. It just so happens that Louboutin designs totally fabulous shoes, that’s all. I mean, what’s not to love about this shoe? The wonderfully high heel, the red sole, the covered buttons, the supple leather, it’s all perfectly marvelous. *Le sigh of desire* But at $825, my virtue is safe– I can afford only to lust, but never to fornicate. Darnit.
Just look at this shoe. Isn’t it wonderful? The perfect pinkness, the high heel, the dazzling stitchwork. Reviews are mixed, but since zappos pays the shipping both ways, it can’t hurt to try them. And at just 69 bucks (who decided on that price?), you can buy 15 pairs for less money than one pair of Christian Louboutin’s. And did I mention that they are pink? Love me some pink!
I just love these Christian Louboutin Very Brode pumps. The perfect hot pinkness, the black accents, that signature red sole. The $1,095 price tag. They’d be great with a LBD, and you should see the detail on the back of these shoes! And if you click the link you can. Simply marvelous, provided you don’t have to walk. Or even stand. And since my feet are too small proportionally to hold me up, then I’m ok with that.
Mmm, Mmm, Mmm, aren’t these the best shoes ever? Couldn’t you just eat them UP? Seriously! I passed them in the mall and just had to have them. They spoke to me in an audible voice, assuring me that my life had been formerly incomplete, and that together, we could climb mountains. Or at lest walk gimpily across the flatlands. Does the fact that I would not wait for the store to order a different size, but instead accepted a marginal fit tell you how much I LOVE these shoes? Awesome T.U.K. High Heel Wing Tip Mary Janes in a 6? Forty bucks. Toes? Optional.
