Samsung Moment in my hand!

Hi Tech Barbie | Tuesday, 06 July 2010

FullTouchscreenwithAccelerometer Yeah, I got it! It came last Friday, and I opened it around 4pm and then played with it until 4am Saturday morning. Then I slept until 7:45 and started playing with it again! My cousin was absolutely correct when she said to activate it on a day off because I wouldn’t be able to keep my hands off of it.

I love the phone, but the app market is absolutely awesome. If you can think of something you want to do with your phone, there’s an app for that. Like, umm, would you like to use your phone as a guitar? App for that! Would you like to have a sex dictionary at your fingertips? App for that! Would you like to do stuff like send texts and read emails? Apps for those, better than the pre-installed ones.

At this point, my three screens are full of icons, and the only things I haven’t been able to find are a different smiley pack (the ones with it are unappealing to me) and a way to make the battery last through a full day. Of course, I imagine that once I find all the stuff I want and quit living on the app market, my battery life will be sufficient. All those people who complain about it really need to learn that a smart phone is a power hungry beast, and you have to plug it in every night. If you have a problem with that, get yourself a basic phone and just be jealous of the rest of us who know how to work a power cord.

Favorite Findings Buttons

Crafty Barbie | Thursday, 01 July 2010

GEDC0700 Yesterday, I went button shopping as I said I was going to do. This set of leaves is from a company called Favorite Findings. They have a lot of cute button sets, and run around $2.50 for 8 or 12 buttons. Not bad at all! This one came from JoAnn, and if you have a crafty bone in your body, your life will be incomplete until you visit one of these stores. They have a little bit of everything there, and it’s a idea generator just to walk around. In fact, I thought of an amazing Christmas gift for a friend of mine while I was in there yesterday, and it had absolutely nothing to do with the buttons I bought. Hopefully, I can still remember it when it gets closer to Christmas!
