I’m thinking here that I have been leaving out a very important shopping category here on this blog. We all love cute stuff, right? How about cute crafty stuff? Yeah, that’s what I thought. Right now, I am shopping for buttons for a baby sweater, and I am trying to remember the sites I used to buy them from a couple of computers ago. Unfortunately, I didn’t import my bookmarks and so I am in trouble in that regard.
Still, I’ll have fun looking, and I might just share some goodies with you. Ergo, a new category is born.
Today, I want to show you a camera or two. You know I love a fancy gadget. Right now, I am shooting with a GE 9.1 megapixel A950. I like it quite well, and I haven’t even explored all the bells and whistles. It zooms nicely and I can catch almost anything with it. So, I look at cameras, but I am really not interested in upgrading until I have the time to devote to photography as a serious hobby. I’ll probably want to get an SLR at that time. I’ve never had one of those and all the different effects you can get with the lenses intrigue me. Of course, all those add-ons are real budget busters, LOL!
Of course, you know that my favorite color is pink, right? So how could I resist a pink digital camera? My current one is black. Hmmmm, I bet I could find a cover for it, though. I could *disguise* it as a camera suitable for Barbie, see.
This store is one of the best kept secrets ever. I was in it the other day, and bought three pieces of clothing for less than 60 bucks, and they are pieces I will wear over and over and over for years to come. Yes, they have some trendy piecies, but they also have some nice classics as well. You can pick up a shirt for about 18, a skirt or pants for 20 and dresses run 25-30. Can’t beat that with a stick. I wish they had online shopping, but you actually have to go to a brick and mortar store to buy clothes from Cato. OTOH, it’s fun to play dressup and make sure something looks good on you before you lay out the dough, and the fitting rooms have been large enough to actually move around in in every store I’ve visited. They have shoes and underthings, too, just so you know.
Ok, if you are reading this blog, you like to shop. And if you like to shop, you will absolutely LOVE The Clearance Chick. Visit her blog, and like her on facebook. She’s rockin’ the free and on sale bidness, peeps!
Let’s just jump on in here with the next thing on my wish list. This, darlings, is the Samsung Moment, and I want it. It’s a droid based phone and it thrills me so much I call it the “fluffer phone”, because it runs second string to the new Evo, which is a “porn phone” and way more phone that I need. I hope to have this baby in my hot little hands sometime this month, and I’ve already been warned not to open it until I have a full day off, because it will take most of that day to quit drooling all over it.
You will, of course, hear more about it then.
So, hi. Eighteen months and two days later, Barbie is back. I’ve still got that passel of real-haired kids, but Ken is gone, gone, gone. And I am so ok with that. It’s been so long since I’ve blogged here that I am not quite sure how to start. I’m still collecting shoes, I’m still drooling over tech gadgets and I’m still middle-aged. I’m still also most of the other stuff on that category list over there, except for the bedroom part. Not much happening in that area at all. Just sayin’
